I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. I teach courses in statistics, personality, and adolescent development. Prior to coming to Rhodes, I received my Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology with a Quantitative Emphasis from the University of California, Davis . My research program focuses on the nature, development, and assessment of personality traits and the influence of these traits on mental health and academic achievement. I take a lifespan developmental approach to understanding individual differences between people, with an emphasis on the period of adolescence.
